Ethan Allen and Driver Dan Mace
Maretta Kennedy
Shows the first 2:30 trotter and his famed
trainer-driver, the first "Wizard of the Reins," from the height of
their careers in the 1850s. Beautiful in concept and detail, this
21.5 inch long, 14 inch high bronze is #4 of an edition of 5 created by
Maretta Kennedy, a gifted Kansas sculptress. All but one of the
small edition were purchased by Harness Tracks of America. One of
the finest American bronzes ever cast of a trotter.

Sheffield Silver Urn, c. 1800
Originally owned by Lord Bedale of Hull, Yorkshire, this
200-year-old superb Sheffield silver urn was presented by track
president Ernest Morris to Stanley Dancer after the money-winning champion Su
Mac Lad won the Centennial Invitational Trot at Saratoga Raceway in
1963. It is 14 inches tall by 16 inches handle to handle.

Christmas gift to his longtime second trainer Dick Baker, then returned
to Stanley and used by him after Baker's death. Engraving reads:

painting, this of one of Dancer's favorite pacers. Stanley and his
brother Vernon often referred to Keystone Ore as "the perfect race
horse." Ultra consistent, he won 28 of 45 races and finished
first, second or third in 43 of them, out of the money only twice in his
career.
