Used in the film The Great Dan Patch, this white leather halter and lead shank are said to be the original equipment of the phenomenal, undefeated pacer that raced, was a world champion, a legend and a national hero, in the first decade of the 1900's.

An amazing print, Thomas Beneke drew it in 1855, depicting the famed, lively Broadway of that day in front of P. T. Barnum’s museum. It originally was published as a hand-colored lithograph, with the artist’s name, title, date and publisher in the bottom margin. This version, printed around 1870 after the introduction of chromolithography, has vivid color, with the margins trimmed to remove the previous publication information.
